Blogroll Additions

author Posted by: Sebastian on date Oct 18th, 2007 | filed Filed under: Blogroll

I figure you spend some days with folks at GBR, they ought to be on your blogroll. Several were already, but a few I have been reading, but hadn’t gotten around to adding, so here we go:

Ride Fast & Shoot Straight

Traction Control

Much to my surprise, I didn’t have The View From North Central Idaho on my blogroll. I thought I had added Joe months ago.

KeeWee’s Corner

Anthroblogology
I also thought I had AnarchAngel on there already as well, but that’s another one I missed.

She didn’t attend the GBR, but she’s impressed me in a short amount of time, so I’ll add The Breda Fallacy as well.

I’d add Rob’s blog if he started blogging again :)

Time to do a few more blogroll additions:

  1. The Unforgiving Minute
  2. Days of our Trailers
  3. TFS Magnum
  4. West, By God
  5. Gun Legislation and Politics in New York
  6. Gun Talk
  7. NJ Voices: Scott Bach

Again, there’s more room, so don’t feel offended if I’ve left you out. There are a lot of blogs on my radar screen than aren’t on my roll yet, so keep getting my attention and I’ll get to you.

New Blogroll Category

The Gun Organizations is a new blog category.  These are the ones I’m either a member of, or have had significant noteworthy legislative accomplishments.

Blogroll Additions

I think it’s time to add a police blog category. Going in that are:

Support Your Local Gunfighter
Second City Cop
The Policeman’s Blog

Also adding to the gun blogger category:

The Conservative UAW Guy
The Madman Raves

If you’re on the roll, that does mean I read you regularly. The list of blogs is getting kind of long. And there’s more on the RSS feed that I don’t have linked. No worries though. I’m getting the whole blog reading thing into a routine. It’s a routine called skimming :)

Quote of the Day

author Posted by: Sebastian on date Jul 13th, 2007 | filed Filed under: Blogroll

Goes to Robb Allen:

You know what Kelli~ [Gonzo anti-gun commentator on Brady Blog] and my gun have in common?

They’re both tools.

For that, he deserves a place on the blogroll.

Mr. Completely

I’ve been participating in the e-postal matches. You should too. It’s a lot of fun to compete against other bloggers, even if you come at the end of the pack. You probably won’t beat this guy though, I think he spends more time at the range than I can even dream of.

Les Jones

He added me just as I was about to do a blogroll addition, so I figured I’d reciprocate. He’s another Knoxville blogger. Knoxville seems to be the blogging capital of the world.

Red’s Trading Post

In only a few days, he’s really impressed me with his content. Most of us are aware of his problems with the BATFE. I really hope he can manage to get through his ordeal with his business still in tact. You’d swear the ATF were working under somebody like Bill Clinton rather than a “pro-gun” Republican. Bush’s failure to get this agency under control has been a big slap in the face to the gun rights community.

Classical Values

Another Pennsylvania guy. Been an occasional reader for a while, becoming a more regular reader.

Right Wing Nation

More Pennsylvania bloggers. I may have to create a special category for them at some point.

John Lott’s Website

We all owe a lot to John’s research.

I’m sure there are others out there I should add. If you feel left out, let me know, and maybe I’ll get you in on the next cycle.

It’s For the Children

author Posted by: Sebastian on date Mar 20th, 2007 | filed Filed under: Blogroll

In the interest of encouraging young people to get into blogging, particularly those related to shooting sports, I’m adding Geek vs. World to the blogroll. Joseph is 15, and, much to the surprise of anti-gun folks everywhere, enjoys shooting, and has not yet shot himself or anyone else accidentally with a firearm. Hopefully he will continue to show that children and guns, with proper education and instruction, can coexist peacefully, and be fun for the whole family.

Blogroll Additions

Time to make some more blogroll additions. I’m adding Tam’s site A View from the Porch, What Would John Wayne Do?, the Michael Bane Blog, Publicola, and finally Cam Edwards.

Blogroll Additions

I’m making some more blogroll additions here. I’ll be adding:

The Countertop Chronicles
Pro-Gun Progressive
mAss Backwards
Clayton Cramer’s Blog
The Ten Ring

I’m trying to branch out to read more gun blogs for sources of material. Countertop I’ve seen posting on Bitter’s site, so I figured I’d add him. I’ve been an occasional reader of Bruce’s mAss Backwards for a while, so I thought I’d become a more regular reader. Pro-Gun Progressive and Clayton Cramer differ from the libertarian gun bloggers I already read, albeit at opposite ends of the political spectrum, and The Ten Ring seems like a reasonable blog, so it’s on there now.

I will be adding more soon. I have to work on getting a decent RSS aggregation set up. I’m keen to use something in PhP that I can keep local on my server here. Up until now I’ve been using Thunderbird, but it has too many deficiencies for me to continue using it.
