When in Rome

author Posted by:Sebastian on date Nov 28th, 2009 | filed Filed under: Hunting

Apparently outsiders moving into Montana heard “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” as “When in Rome, sneer at them and try to frustrate their backwards ways.” Maybe when I retire, I need to buy a house in this neighborhood, do the ariel surveys for the hunters, and put out word in the community that if they want to come on my land and hunt, and annoy my neighbors, they are welcome. I really hate this kind of attitude among people who are recently relocated to an area, and think everything should be as it was in the place they left. Montana is a lot more than pretty scenery.

And when those assclowns discover what happens when a wild animal population gets lots of food, what will they do? Call on guberment to fix it for them.

Feeding migratory birds should be illegal too.

  2. Hank Archer Said,

Flighterdoc, you’re right, feeding those birds should be illegal. Because of the “extra” food at that location, the birds will stay later in the season than nature intends. When the weather finally forces them to leave, as they move south there will not be adequate food available for them. Many more birds will be lost to starvation, exhaustion & exposure than the local hunters would have taken.

But then Huey and his liberal friends do get to “stick it to the redneck hunters.” So, from thire point of view, it’s worth it.

Yeah. Glad I didn’t move into the Bitterroot valley. My neighbors are all hunters too.

  5. Laughingdog Said,

Wow. Huey Lewis is really doing a hell of a job of violating the “don’t be a dick” rule there.
