This is what a news article on the Five-Seven would look like if the topic weren’t sensationalized, and the news media took their facts from someone other than the Brady Campaign.

h/t again to Instapundit, who deserves a lot of credit for getting this information out there to a wider, non-gunnie audience.

A well-written article. The sad part is the MSM will likely use his conclusion to claim that they should remain ignorant, and continue to spew firearms inaccuracies to the general public.

  2. Mad Saint Jack Said,

I know it is wild speculation, but I can’t help but wonder if Hasan shot the responding officer in the legs because she had a vest on.

Sebastian, Thanks for linking to that fascinating and informative article. Isn’t it typical in the gun debate that what’s being demanded by the anti-gun side is exactly the opposite of what it should be. They really should be asking for bans on the slower more damaging bullets.

Do you think this is due to ignorance or by design?

  4. Weer'd Beard Said,

“Do you think this is due to ignorance or by design?”

Both. All of the supporters of further gun restrictions are either so ignorant that they can’t name the requirements all people must follow to buy a gun in this country, or answer simple definition questions like: “What is Semi-Automatic, and how does it differ from fully automatic?” and “What is more powerful, a .30-06 Deer rifle or an AR-15/AK-47 rifle?”

The others, like yourself, know all the answers to these questions, and all the fallacies and failings of gun control, so they see it in their best interests to push bad information to further a bigoted agenda.
