Fred Madden Does Not Support Law Enforcement

New Jersey Senator Fred Madden and Governor Corzine apparently thinks it ought to be harder for law enforcement officers to get the firearms they need to protect themselves while on duty.  While the New Jersey one-gun-a-month law provides exceptions for law enforcement, it doesn’t offer exemptions for the dealers many smaller law enforcement agencies purchase firearms from.  Agencies that are too small for distributors to deal with directly.

    Why not just wall off NJ and put federal corrections officers on the wall? It’d be cheaper than using Long Island…

    So, let me get this right? The one-gun-a-month restriction not only applies to the buyer, but also the seller? WTF!!

    The police should have to follow all the same rules civilians do when it comes to guns. The one gun a month rule applying to police suits me just fine, though obviously the law itself doesn’t.

    Well, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If the cops have to suffer under NJ’s insane gun laws, maybe they’ll do something to overturn them.

    I kinf of have to wonder if this is a backstop for losing their permitting scheme when the 2A is incorporated. Not that it will survive either.

    But in all truth, this is just the normal idiocy. I really wonder what’s in the water in the Delaware River between Trenton and Philly.
