Barbarians at the Gate

We have invaded Italy, and are poised to sack the Rome.  That must be why the Bradys are busy building fortifications in their capital city, and trying to push the barbarian hordes back into the countryside.

Hopefully it’ll work out about as well for the Bradys as it did for the Romans.

    You mean we’ll win, but be converted into debased Brady-ness by their patina of High Civilization, while they’re praised as founders of all that is right and good for a thousand-odd years?

    I’m not sure I like that metaphor. Can’t they be the Carthaginians, and we’re Scipio?
