Busy Beavers

author Posted by:Sebastian on date Mar 14th, 2009 | filed Filed under: Hunting

It’s always amazed me that somewhere locked up in the Beaver’s little rodent brain is all the information necessary to engineer dams.  Blackfork managed to get some shots of beaver dam building here, here and here.

Fascinating creatures.  It’s a shame they make such good coats and hats.

I think the credit really ought to go to Mrs. Beaver. If it was up to Mr. Beaver, he’d just sit on a log watching football all day.

The demand for beaver fur has been down, So if you have a beaver problem flooding your land you pay the trapper not vice versa.

Actually beavers are a nuisance and cause a lot of problems, damage to trees and flooding of properties. Demolishing beaver dams are expensive and labor exhaustive.

Not just ANY type of fur coat, but waterproof fur coats.
