Rule Four Violation

author Posted by:Sebastian on date Nov 7th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Shooting

People who shoot large caliber rounds need to grok that those rounds can travel great distances and still remain dangerous.  We don’t need stories like this.  Especially with Obama looking to crap on gun owners.

22LR has been known to travel 2 miles as well.

after passing through dirt as claimed? Prove it. Innocent until PROVEN guilty!

  3. Sebastian Said,

I doubt there would be too many 50 caliber round flying around in any given area at any given time. Innocent until proven guilty is a legal limitation applied to the state. I can speculate that it’s unlikely to be false, unless the people in question can’t tell a .50 BMG bullet from anything else. The .50 BMG round has a _lot_ of energy behind it. I can believe it can go through more dirt than your typical .308 round. It has approximately 3x the energy.
