A Win for FOPA

Looks like the Firearms Owners Protection Act’s safe harbor provision for transporting a firearm through a hostile state is actually worth something.  Excellent.

Last sprig (2007), on some forum, there was a thread started by a guy from NJ who was coming to PA. He was asking about gun laws, but what was notable (many people commented on it) was in the discussion that ensued. The guy was scared to death he’d get tossed in jail in PA for some obscure firearm charge. Lots and lots of people replied to tell him to relax because PA was a gun-friendly state, but it didn’t mollify him.
