What musical pitch does the case of a 30-06 make if blown across? What about a .223 casing. Neither case makes a perfect note, but they come close.
Answer:
30-06 produces a D pitch, a little flat
.223 produces a G pitch, though it’s a little sharp
If you knew that off the top of your head, you’re far gun nuttier than I am.

It also depends on the temperature of the case. As someone who has played flute, I can tell you that a flute sometimes has to be tuned if the temperature varies much.
