Looks like the e-mails have gone out to the winners of the ParaUSA contest. Since I have not gotten an e-mail, it would appear that I didn’t make it. Congratulations to all the bloggers who have made the grade! I hope everybody has a lot of fun, and learns a lot.

UPDATE: Yeah, looks that way folks. I am not among the winners based on what I’ve seen around the blogosphere. Win some, lose some. Congraulations to, so far:

We’re still waiting for two one more bloggers to announce they are in possession of the golden ticket.

Organizers got no special treatment. The contest was open to all bloggers, so it just came down to votes and eyeballs driven to the contest site.

According to the guy from Para that I just talked to, Of Arms and the Law also won. The URL he had was wrong, and he was looking for the correct one.

I have to admit I’m surprised. I did go well outside my blog for votes including my wife’s scrapbooking board (her suggestion) as well as other gun forums I’m a part of, although I can’t imagine both of those combined made for more than 2 dozen votes.

I do want to learn how effective this was for Para. I’d like to see more outreach, but that will only happen if we can both drive eyeballs AND open wallets.

I would like to extend a VERY gracious “Thanks” to both Sebastian and Bitter for organizing this for us. Drinks are definitely on me the next time we meet.
