<description>Using their feedback pages I sent the following messages to Google, MSN (Live.com) and Yahoo expressing myself. I suggest others make similar polite responses, and remember to tell Yahoo thanks.

Memorial Day Letter to Google

Google has the opportunity to share in the success of our nation, in fact the success of our culture, due to the sacrifices of those that have died defending their kin and the ideals of life, liberty and justice for all. Even if this country has not achieved those ideas as well as we will in the future, we who care are striving in that direction.

The least that you could do is recognize Memorial Day (and Veteran's Day!) with an appropriate www.google.com artwork. I will be looking for a July 2-4th variation. Or I will take my search business elsewhere. Yahoo was able to see their way to a small graphic. I would like to expect better of google.

I am a senior distributed data systems consulting engineer and I influence project direction and development. I am also a patriotic veteran.

Letter to Yahoo

I want to thank you for the graphic and link showing respect for the meaning of Memorial Day in 2008. I have sent messages via the feedback pages of MSN Live and Google of my dissatisfaction with their lack of displayed respect and that I would be switching to Yahoo for more of my search in portal needs.

Thank you.
