Though it is a long step between being disarmed and being murdered - one does not usually lead to the other - but it is nevertheless an arresting reality that not one of the principal genocides of the twentieth century, and there have been dozens, has been inflicted on a population that was armed. - Daniel D. Polsby

I have no idea who Mr. Polsby was, but he he hit the nail right upon the head.

After a fashion, the UN nimwits are correct - when one body of people holds all of the firearms, and another body of people has been disarmed (probably through the assistance of the UN "Peacekeepers", no doubt), then all of those horrific things can happen.

But, given those same "Peacekeepers" records in Africa and other places, I guess they have first-hand experience with just how that manner of oppression works.

It should be pointed out that the Rwandan genocide was carried out almost entirely with machetes.

Hell, they didn't just witness it; they sanctioned it. Then denied they did it and once again, are blaming the inanimate object for the actions of their own "peacekeeping" forces.
