New Server Time

We’ve been experiencing too many outages lately, largely due to one of the drives in the server acting up. This is something I need to remedy, but I’m thinking maybe it’s time to remedy it with a new server for the blog. I’m looking at getting the parts in to do it.

You host your own? I’ve thought about that but haven’t gone farther than that.

I host myself, yes. FiOS connection is plenty fast. One thing I do need to get is a remote power system, so I can dial in on my phone line to power cycle the system when there’s trouble. That way I’m not dependent on having to be home.
