Secret Compartments

Apparently it’s illegal in Illinois to have a secret compartment in your car.  Outrageous.  The law itself can be found here.  Looks like it makes the vehicle subject to forfeiture, and its owner subject to a class 4 felony.

    Having just read the law It would seem to me that those little magnetic spare key boxes aren’t covered by this law only because they’re usually attached with a magnet. (not “integrated into a vehicle”). I don’t think I would like having one on my car that had been duct-taped on, however.

    its illegal in FL too, and the law there applies to boats too
