Chief Justice Roberts seems to understands trigger locks, but these guys had to find out the hard way why they are less than optimal for self-defense.

    Do you think Dellinger lost a lot of credibility with the court? with his insistence on 3 seconds?

    I think Roberts knew better, but as to how much credibility he lost, I don’t know.

    I’m kind of with Orin Kerr on this point, that they could have gotten up there and read from the phone book, and it wouldn’t have influenced the outcome of this case. The justices have already lined up.

    I think they were aligned on the individual right when they granted cert.

    Where they will come down on the rest of it I think is still fuzzy. I feel certain the handgun ban is going on the trash heap of history. The wording of the majority opinion I can’t see in my crystal ball.
