On one hand local governments need to be able to customize their gun laws to meet their societal needs. On the other hand, the DC gun ban isn't working because of the gun laws in the neighboring regions. Also, it was amusing to have a Brit lecture an American on how a democracy comes about and what is needed to form and maintain one. So let me get this straight.
