Is Jennifer W. Stein a “Truther” Too?

I notice Jennifer W. Stein, who I talked about earlier here, has a meetup group she organizes.  They are showing a 9/11 “Truth” documentary on the 23rd of January at the Radnor Public Library if anyone is interested. Doesn’t mention whether they are pursuing the theory that aliens did it.

    “The central premise of Loose Change is that the United States Government was, at the very least, criminally negligent in allowing the attacks of September 11th, 2001 to occur.” The video goes on to bring up all manner of conspiracy theories surrounding the Twin Towers attacks.

    Belief in UFOs, precognition, ESP, etc….coupled with what reasonable people consider ludicrous conspiracy theories regarding 9/11/01…

    Yes, I’d agree that we ought to consider Ms. Stein to be an unreliable voice in the matters of public policy.

    My take on precog? There is evidence that precognition is the result of fraud and/or self-delusion, that in turn arises from a “selection bias”…a psychological phenomenon involving the a priori or a posteriori selection of observations or samples that preferentially include or exclude certain results….allowing one to conclude pretty much “what they had thought all along.” To me this is a phenomenon similar to the effect of a “placebo” on naive patients.
