Alchemy Lives!

According to Tam, who saw it on the Glock Talk forum:

His response was that his machinist buddy had, after some experimentation resulting in blowing the gun up a couple of times, “converted” two thirds of the barrel to titanium.

Damn, now if he can just figure out how to convert it into gold, we can all be rich.

I think it takes some sort of nuclear reaction to turn lead into gold, but it is prohibitively expensive to perform.

I wish it was easier, then all those Gold Standard people will be left out to dry.

  2. Ahab Said,

That’s nothing - I converted my entire Ruger GP100 to hardened ceramic so it won’t set off metal detectors!

  3. gattsuru Said,

You can convert lead to gold without any nuclear reactions, but most people don’t have multi-gigawatt particle accelerators laying around.

  4. kaveman Said,

It is possible to turn lead into gold. Only problem is that the process for doing so costs more in energy than the gold is worth.

  5. Alcibiades McZombie Said,

Yeah, I also heard about the particle accelerators, but I wasn’t sure if it was the preferred method.
